Outlet, manway, vent
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 72 inches up, reached from a step; fill from a truck through a dip tube to the floor so the liquid does not free-fall and foam, vent outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Six feet of liquid above the outlet keeps a pump's suction flooded to the last inches; mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, and put a low-level float on it. The level shows through the white wall. Keep the manway closed against vapor loss, label the one chemical the tank holds, and where it freezes, wrap or trace the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
