A low black tank for outdoor water

Black is the colour to choose when a tank lives outside in daylight. It keeps light from reaching the water, which is what feeds algae, so stored water stays cleaner for longer; it also shields liquids that sunlight degrades. The other side is heat. A black wall in full sun warms what is inside, and the service limit on this tank is 120 F, so in a hot region a shaded spot or the north side of a building is the better home.
