The middle of the family, on purpose

A 72 inch circle is a footprint most plants can find without moving anything, and 119 inches of height clears the ductwork in rooms where the taller slim shell will not stand. The site survey is short: the base circle plus a walking gap, and the clear height under the lowest steel with the manway, a fill line and a person's hands added on top. Plan a ladder and a short railed platform for the manway. Band the empty shell to structure or slab anchors before the first fill and check the bands after the first hot week.

The pad carries 15,846 lb of water, and up to 1.9 times that weight if the liquid works the rating, all of it on a 72 inch circle. What goes in it

The 1.9 rating is for liquids that are genuinely heavier than water: acids and caustics beside a finishing line, a heavy coagulant at a water or wastewater plant, brine, bulk chemical at a distributor. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 119 inches up. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; keep the lid threaded shut between deliveries.
2. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we will confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships; the drawing under Technical Drawing on this page shows the openings.
3. Base plumbing. On a 1.9 duty every joint works harder than the shell does. Carry the first valve on its own support off the pad, use a flexible connector to hard pipe, and set the pump below the outlet with a low-level float.
4. Level. Black hides the level; a sender read at the ground is the gauge.

West of the Rockies the lane is short; everyone else should price it before falling in love with the volume. Set it with straps under the body, never a hook through the manway, onto the anchors, and tension the bands the same day. At the tailgate check the part number 1780200N48 against the bill of lading and look over the shell before signing. Water test first: fill to the manway, hold it, read the pad edge and the connection, then drain before the chemical arrives.
