Where it goes

Pick black when the tank will sit full in the sun for weeks: a water supply tank parked at a well site, a nurse tank that holds product between applications, anything where algae or light damage is the worry. The trade is that you cannot read the level through the wall, so plan on a sight tube or a gauge. Otherwise it is the same low, wide 2000 gallon nurse tank: 84 inches across a flatbed deck, 55 inches tall for a low centre of gravity. Full of water it is more than eight tons, and at the 1.9 rating it can approach sixteen, so the trailer's axle ratings and the tow vehicle decide whether it belongs there. Run the straps through the securing hoops, never over the top opening, set the weight over the axles, and re-tension after the first few miles. The legs need a flat, continuous deck for the full footprint. What goes in it

Water that sits, liquid fertilizer, and the heavier salt solutions and treatment chemicals that a 1.5 rated tank cannot carry. A 1.9 specific gravity rating means liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 2 inch. It fits the 2 inch valves, camlocks and transfer pumps most farms already own; the trade is a slower sprayer load than a 3 inch outlet. The thread form and fitting material are not listed on this page, so ask us before you buy the valve.
2. Top opening. 18 inches: wide enough to fill from a pump discharge, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get a head and shoulders in to inspect and clean. Confirm with us whether it ships as a lid or a manway before you buy a replacement cover.
3. Hoops. The securing hoops come with the tank. Strap through them, not over the shell.
