On a trailer, a flatbed or the ground
At 142 by 84 inches this tank takes most of the deck of a tandem axle trailer or a flatbed truck, and at 56 inches tall it keeps the load low. Full of water the contents alone weigh close to 17000 lb, and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axle rating and the tow vehicle, not the tank, set the limit on what you can move. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. The 1.9 rating matters here: liquids heavier than water, such as many fertilizer blends, are what a heavy duty leg tank is for. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the manway, or tell us where you want a fill port and we will talk through the options before the order ships.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
