Snyder Industries 2000 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Leg Tank with Securing Hoops

Where it goes

This is the low, wide 2000 gallon nurse tank. At 84 inches wide it fills a flatbed deck side to side, and at 55 inches tall it keeps the centre of gravity low, which is what you want when the trailer is full and the field road is rough. Full of water it is more than eight tons, so the trailer's axle ratings and the tow vehicle decide whether it belongs there, not the tank. Set it with the weight over the axles, run the straps through the securing hoops rather than over the top opening, and re-tension after the first few miles. The legs need a flat, continuous deck for the full 142 by 84 inch footprint; on the ground, a level gravel or concrete pad under all the legs is enough. What goes in it

Water and liquid fertilizer. The 1.5 rating is the thing to check: a 1.5 specific gravity rating means liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water, and most fertilizer solutions are inside that, but some concentrated salts and acids are not. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 3 inch, which sets how fast you can load the sprayer. Match the valve, the camlock and the transfer pump to 3 inch rather than reducing. The thread form and fitting material are not listed on this page; ask us before you buy the valve.
2. Top opening. 18 inches: wide enough to fill from a pump discharge, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get a head and shoulders in to inspect and clean. Confirm with us whether it ships as a lid or a manway before you buy a replacement cover.
3. Hoops. The securing hoops come with the tank. Strap through them, not over the shell.
