Snyder Industries 2000 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Leg Tank with Securing Hoops

Where it goes

This is the low, wide 2000 gallon nurse tank in its heavy rating. At 84 inches wide it fills a flatbed deck side to side, and at 55 inches tall it keeps the centre of gravity low for rough field roads. Full of water it is more than eight tons; at the 1.9 rating it can be close to sixteen, so the trailer's axle ratings and the tow vehicle decide whether it belongs there, not the tank. Set it with the weight over the axles, run the straps through the securing hoops rather than over the top opening, and re-tension after the first few miles because a polyethylene tank settles onto its legs under load. The legs need a flat, continuous deck for the full 142 by 84 inch footprint; on the ground, a level gravel or concrete pad under all the legs is enough. What goes in it

Liquid fertilizer, water, and the heavier salt solutions and treatment chemicals that a 1.5 rated tank cannot carry. A 1.9 specific gravity rating means liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which is the reason to choose this rating when the product is heavy. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 2 inch. It fits the 2 inch valves, camlocks and transfer pumps most farms already own; the trade is a slower sprayer load than a 3 inch outlet. The thread form and fitting material are not listed on this page, so ask us before you buy the valve.
2. Top opening. 18 inches: wide enough to fill from a pump discharge, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get a head and shoulders in to inspect and clean. Confirm with us whether it ships as a lid or a manway before you buy a replacement cover.
3. Hoops. The securing hoops come with the tank. Strap through them, not over the shell.
