The Snyder Industries 2600 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Leg Tank in White is a heavy-haul transport and storage tank molded from High Density Linear Polyethylene with a 1.9 specific gravity rating, built to carry dense agricultural and industrial liquids that would overstress a standard 1.5 SG tank. Holding 2,600 gallons in a low-slung horizontal leg body measuring 70 in. high, 82 in. wide, and 155 in. long, it rides on integrated legs that keep the load stable on a nurse trailer or skid. It is well suited to hauling DEF (32.5%), urea solution (50%), and dense fertilizer concentrates, so if you have been searching for a horizontal leg tank or a Snyder horizontal tank sized for serious volume, this is the one built for the work.

Will it work for your liquid and your trailer?

Start with weight, because that is what decides your trailer, your pump, and your tie-downs. Filled with water, this tank carries 21,684 lb. of contents; the 1.9 SG rating allows a maximum rated contents weight of 41,200 lb. for denser fluids. That headroom between 21,684 lb. (water) and 41,200 lb. (rated) is what lets you haul fluids up to 1.9 SG without exceeding the tank's structural rating, so plan your axles and frame around the actual liquid you are hauling, not just the gallon count. The footprint is 82.0 x 155.0 in., so confirm your trailer deck or containment pad clears that before you order. This listing does not yet carry a specified fitting configuration, so confirm your bulkhead, outlet, and vent layout with our team before ordering. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide to match contents weight to your equipment, and review the technical drawing on this page for fitting and leg placement.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is High Density Linear Polyethylene (HDLPE) with a 1.9 specific gravity rating, which is what lets it hold the dense acids, brines, and concentrates below. Compatibility depends on the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific, so verify your exact fluid against it before service. Fitting and gasket materials matter as much as the tank wall, so spec them to the chemical:

See the full chemical compatibility resource to confirm your concentration and temperature before committing to a fitting and gasket package.

The mistake to avoid

The costly error on a tank like this is matching the gasket to the tank instead of to the chemical. The HDLPE wall and 1.9 SG rating handle the aggressive fluids above, but the wrong elastomer fails first. Note that Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, and Phosphoric Acid all call for Viton (or CPVC on sulfuric), while milder salts and glycols run on EPDM, and Peracetic Acid needs Aflas. Just as important, DEF and Peracetic Acid call for 316SS fittings, not plastic, so do not carry the PVC pattern across the whole table. Spec the seal and fitting material to your specific fluid, not just to the tank. If you are blending fertilizer in this tank, read our guide on fertilizer-blend tank stratification to avoid salting-out and off-spec spreader runs, and our overview of applicator and leg tanks for fertilizer for DOT and trailer scope.

This tank ships LTL freight, quoted live to your ZIP from the nearest of our Snyder plants in Chowchilla, CA, Lincoln, NE, or Marked Tree, AR.
