The duty is a small load that has to ride along

Thirty gallons is the size you buy when the liquid is a supporting act. Emptying a 26 inch body when the sheet lists no outlet

• The discharge path, first: this sheet publishes no outlet and no inlet at all. We will not print a fitting size that is not on it, so tell us how you intend to draw from the tank when you order and we confirm what the part carries before it ships. Nothing on this page should be read as a bulkhead size or a valve.
• Where a pump goes on a 26 inch body: below the liquid, close in, with the hose falling toward it. There are only 26 inches of standing height here in total, so every inch of lift you build into the suction is taken straight out of the prime, and a pump set above a short tank sounds like a failing pump when it is only badly placed.
• Priming a small shallow shell: a self priming pump or a foot valve earns its money at 30 gallons, because the surface drops out from under a suction hose fast when the plan is only 23 by 23 inches. Add a cleanable strainer within reach and a run-dry stop.
• Filling and access: a 6 inch lid, reached without a ladder at 26 inches. Whatever the fitting turns out to be, break the first joint at the tank with a flexible connector and carry the valve on its own bracket off the deck rather than hanging it on the wall. A tank that rides on a vehicle takes every bump through whatever is rigid between it and the frame, and at 13 pounds empty this tank has nothing to spare for that. Name the liquid when you order so the fitting, gasket and bolting are matched to it rather than left generic.
