The Snyder Industries 300 Gallon ASTM XLPE Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank is a crosslinked linear polyethylene vertical tank built for demanding storage where a standard HDPE wall would be the weak point. It holds 300 gallons in a compact 36-inch by 36-inch footprint and stands 82 inches tall, so you get real vertical capacity on a small pad. It is molded in natural white.

Will it work for your storage job?

This is a crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) wall carrying a 1.9 specific gravity rating, meaning it is engineered to hold fluids up to 1.9 times the density of water. Full of water, 300 gallons weighs roughly 2,502 pounds of contents; at the tank's maximum rated 1.9 specific gravity the wall is designed to carry up to about 4,754 pounds. On a water-service tank, treat that 1.9 rating as structural headroom for heavier-than-water fluids, not as a chemical approval. Use those weights to size your pad and any support structure before delivery. XLPE gives you a tougher, more impact- and stress-crack-resistant wall than standard polyethylene, which is why this heavy-duty vertical is a common pick for long-term water and process storage. Match capacity to your draw-down and refill cycle with our Tank Sizing Calculator or the Tank Sizing Guide.

Fittings, height, and configuration

Per the technical drawing on this page, this vertical is configured with a flange fitting and a 10-inch polyethylene fill cap at the top for filling and access. Note that the drawing shows top fill-and-access hardware only, so if you need a plumbed bottom or side discharge for a draw-down system, confirm or add a bottom outlet or bulkhead before you set the tank. A flange connection seals on a gasket and bolt pattern, so verify the gasket material and bolt-up against your plumbing and fluid. Also plan for the 82-inch height: the 10-inch fill cap sits at the top, so account for overhead clearance, a ladder or platform for fill access, and doorway or roll-up-door clearance if it is going indoors. Check the technical drawing for exact fitting locations and dimensions.

Siting and the containment decision

Set any above-ground vertical tank on a level, fully supporting base. Our write-up on Concrete Pad Sizing for Above-Ground Polyethylene Tanks covers the ACI framework for getting that base right. Because this tank already carries the top 1.9 SG rating, the honest step up is not a higher single-wall rating but double-wall containment; the Snyder Captor double-wall freeboard guide covers that path, and Snyder XLPE vs HDPE explains where the crosslinked wall earns its place. For a rural fire-water or reservoir role, the Fire-Water Reservoir Tank Design guide covers NFPA 22 sizing and freeze protection.
