Steel against polyethylene at 350 gallons

For water, liquid fertilizer and the common treatment chemicals polyethylene handles, the 330 gallon Ultratainer tote is a fraction of this tote's weight and costs less, and it is the right buy for most of those jobs. This stainless tote is for the jobs it is not. The vessel is washed between products with hot water, caustic or steam and the surface has to be inspected and passed each time. The product is a food, beverage or cosmetic ingredient, or a customer specification calls for stainless contact surfaces and will accept nothing else. The liquid is one polyethylene will not hold at the concentration or the temperature you run. Or the tote is filled, moved and emptied for years on a forklift in a plant where a plastic body would be the part that gives. If one of those describes the job, the 469 lb tare is the price of it, and it is a number to plan the forklift rating and the floor around. If none does, buy the lighter tote; we sell both.

At 47.25 inches the manway sits at chest height for most people, so filling, sampling, inspecting and cleaning happen from the floor without a step, and the tote rides under mezzanines and door tracks that stop the taller sizes. Openings and fittings

1. Manway. 22 inches, vented, at working height. Wide enough for a spray wand, a light, a sampling thief and an arm. The vent lets air replace liquid as the valve draws; keep it clear and never blank it.
2. Inlet. A 2 inch access port on top for a closed fill line or a pump discharge. Confirm the thread form with us before buying adapters or camlocks.
3. Outlet. A 2 inch 316 stainless ball valve, factory fitted low on the vessel. Keep it closed and capped in transit and support the hose on its own bracket so the valve carries liquid, not hardware.
