Where this shape earns its floor space

This is the wide and short way to hold 4000 gallons: ten feet across and 100 inches to the top. It goes under a low roof, a loft or an awning where a taller tank will not, the fill line and vent land comfortably above the opening, and a short step ladder reaches the manway. In exchange it takes a ten foot circle of level floor, and that circle does not pass a normal doorway, so measure the route in before you order. The 1.5 rating covers water, rainwater, most liquid fertilizers and the common farm and treatment liquids that polyethylene handles. If the liquid is denser than 1.5 times water, a brine or a concentrate, step up to the black heavy duty 7421100N48, rated 1.9, rather than running this one near its limit. Crosslinked polyethylene gives you more margin on chemistry than ordinary polyethylene; check anything beyond water and fertilizer in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill.

Full of water the tank puts 33,360 lb on the pad, spread over the whole floor. The slab has to be level and in complete contact; a low corner carries the weight alone and the wall finds it early. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch, threaded and vented, on top. Land the fill line here with a dip tube to the floor so a fill does not free fall and aerate the load, and size the vent to the truck's pump.
2. Outlet. The listing does not state an installed outlet. Tell us the drain size and material you want and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank ships with.
3. Temperature. 140 F (60 C) service limit. Fine for ambient storage; ask before putting a hot process stream in it.
