Ten feet of floor, a little over eight feet of height

At 100 inches the lid is reachable from a short ladder, so inspection and sampling need no platform and the fill and vent lines clear the top inside most buildings. For water, fertilizer and everyday chemicals this standard wall is the one to buy: a rating you never load is wall you paid to make and freight you paid to move; take the heavy duty version only when the liquid is genuinely dense. The cost of the shape is floor. A 120 inch circle is ten feet of slab, and a rotationally moulded floor bears on all of it, so the pad is level, cured and in full contact while it carries 34,194 lb of water. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common treatment chemicals that crosslinked polyethylene handles at 1.5 specific gravity. Openings and fittings

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top of a 100 inch shell: room for a permanent fill connection, a float or sender, and a hand and brush inside to clean. Run a dip tube to the floor so the fill stream does not foam the headspace.
2. Outlet. Tell us the liquid, the flow and the pump at order and we confirm the outlet this tank is supplied with before anything is drilled. With only 100 inches of liquid above the floor the suction head is small: mount the pump below the outlet, fit a low level float, and carry the first valve on its own support with a flexible connector to the shell.
3. Vent. Sized to the delivery pump and piped outdoors on anything that fumes.

Other 4,100 gallon shapes

Snyder makes 4,100 gallons on two moulds, and the names are the same, so order by part number. On the other mould there are the 4,100 gallon black XLPE tank, part 7360000N46, the 4,100 gallon black heavy duty polyethylene tank and the 4,100 gallon black polyethylene tank. One size down is the 4,000 gallon XLPE tank; one up, the 4,300 gallon black heavy duty tank.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, AR, 120 x 120 x 100 inches and 774 lb on the truck. A ten foot shipment is outside the ordinary trailer profile, so plan the unloading before delivery day with long forks or a crane and straps under the body, nothing rigged to the manway. Check the part number against 8200000N46 on the bill of lading, set it on the cured pad in one move, fill it with water, hold it, and walk the base all the way round before the working liquid goes in.
