Snyder Industries 4100 Gallon Heavy Duty Cone Bottom Tank

Built for weight at the bottom

In a tall cone, the liquid at the bottom presses hardest, and a dense liquid presses harder still. That is the case the heavy duty wall is made for: liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, such as concentrated brines, coagulants, heavy fertilizer solutions and many acids. Treatment plants use a cone like this as a day tank or bulk store for a coagulant that is drawn down and refilled; ag dealers use it for blends that have to drain completely. Settled solids head for the cone point and leave with the liquid.

If your liquid is 1.5 or lighter, a standard wall tank of this size will do and saves you the extra polyethylene; tell us the liquid and we will point you to it. What to confirm before you buy

1. Stand. A cone bottom tank cannot stand on its point. It needs a stand rated for the full liquid weight, sold separately. Our cone bottom stand compatibility matrix shows how stands pair with Snyder tanks.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed for this tank. Tell us the drain size, the valve and the liquid, and we confirm the fitting with Snyder before it ships.
3. Height. 197 inches of tank plus the stand. Check the roof, doors and overhead lines along the route in.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Lincoln, NE plant, 90 by 90 by 197 inches at 1,500 lb. The freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. Lifting a 197 inch tank to vertical takes a crane or a long reach forklift, tag lines and a crew. At the tailgate, check 5180000N51 against the bill of lading, look at the cone and the manway for transit damage before you sign, and fill it with water first, in its stand, before any chemical goes in.
