Why this wall and not the heavy one

Four walls come out of this 102 x 154 inch mould, and for a liquid at or near water weight this is the one to buy, because a rating you never load is wall you paid to make and freight you paid to move. Pick the heavy duty version only when the liquid is genuinely dense; the rule is weight, not caution. The shape itself is the one most buildings are designed around: eight and a half feet across, so it needs less floor than a wide tank, and 154 inches tall, so the manway is nearly thirteen feet up and wants a fixed ladder with a small platform rather than a stepladder. The pad carries 41,700 lb of water through the moulded floor; pour it to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, and strap the tank to structure or slab anchors while it is empty at 950 lb. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common treatment chemicals that crosslinked polyethylene handles at 1.5 specific gravity: hypochlorite at a water plant, feed or fertilizer solution at a co-op, a make-up or rinse tank in a shop. Openings and fittings

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: room for a permanent fill connection, a float or sender, and a hand and brush inside to clean. Run a dip tube to the floor so the fill stream does not foam the headspace.
2. Outlet. Tell us the liquid, the flow and the pump at order and we confirm the outlet this tank is supplied with before anything is drilled. Mount the pump below the outlet, fit a low level float so it stops before it draws air, and carry the first valve on its own support with a flexible connector to the shell.
3. Vent. Sized to the delivery pump, not to the nearest port, and piped outdoors on anything that fumes.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Philippi, WV, 102 x 102 x 154 inches and 950 lb on the truck. Unload with a crane or a forklift with long forks and straps under the body, never a sling through the manway, and set it on the cured pad in one move. Check the part number against 1002100N46 on the bill of lading. Fill it with water first, hold it, and walk the base all the way round before the working liquid goes in.
