A 14 in the outlet field with sixteen feet of column above it

• Outlet: the sheet lists the outlet as 14, with no fitting diameter, material, thread or gasket alongside it, so it is not a pipe size and is not printed as one here. The draw-off is specified at order: name the liquid and the pipe size and the bulkhead, gasket and bolting are matched to them.
• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway at the top of 202 inches of shell; the sheet lists ladder lugs, and anyone opening that lid is working at height and tied off.

The thing to design around here is the column of liquid standing over that connection, because it is generous and it cuts both ways. Then fill with water to the manway, hold it a shift, and read the base, the pad edge and the fitting you specified before the product arrives. Once it is full and holding, leave it alone for a day before the plumbing goes on, because a settled tank is a quiet one and a pipe run made up to a tank that is still moving will be made up twice.
