Who buys a tank shorter than a garage door

A process room in an older plant, a barn with a hay loft over the tank bay, a mezzanine at a food plant, a container-built chemical skid: places with a ceiling under eight feet and plenty of floor. That is the whole case for this tank: it buys its volume with floor, not height. Filling is easy when the top of the tank is at head height. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. A low tank gives a pump little head, so set the pump as low as the pad allows, with a short, straight suction line. Support the valve and the first pipe run off the pad and trace or insulate them where winters freeze.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 91 inches up, opened from the floor or one step: a screen in it for a tote fill, a dip tube for a tanker fill, and a vent sized for the truck's pump.
