The tote at the head of a dosing line

Most 550 gallon stainless totes we sell go to one of two places: the supply end of a chemical metering system, or a containment area that a regulator inspects. In both, the tote is one part of an arrangement, and the arrangement is what you are really buying. The tote's own numbers set the site. The footprint is 42 by 48 inches, the pallet module a forklift and a dock plate were designed around, so it goes wherever a forklift goes. The height is 71.25 inches, which puts the manway above head height; plan a step or a platform for filling, sampling and cleaning, and measure to the lowest obstruction over the final position. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch 316 stainless ball valve, factory fitted low on the vessel, the connection a metering pump suction line or a transfer hose runs from. Support the line on its own bracket so the valve carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Inlet. A 2 inch access port on top for a closed fill from a delivery hose or a pump discharge. Confirm the thread form with us before buying adapters.
3. Manway. 22 inches, vented. The vent is the breathing path as the valve draws 550 gallons down; keep it clear. The opening takes a spray wand, a light and an arm for inspection and cleaning.

Snyder lists the 550 gallon stainless Supertainer under more than one part number with identical published dimensions and weight: 6984500B51310 and 6984500B51324.
