A low 550 and the pad it wants

Full, the WB33 puts 4,587 pounds on a 64 inch circle, and because a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, the pad carries it: a compacted, screeded gravel base or a slab in full contact, per the concrete pad sizing guide, with the empty tank strapped against wind. On a trailer the same rule holds: continuous support under the floor, a strap over the top, and the outlet valve protected from the road. Black polyethylene absorbs the ultraviolet that ages a white wall and passes no light to the liquid, so outdoors in full sun the water holds clear for years; it runs warmer in the sun than a white tank, so a water tank goes on the shade side of the building. Ports and access

• Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, high on the wall.
• Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene bolted fitting with stainless steel hardware, at the base; a flexible connector between the fitting and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad.
• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 46 inches up, opened from the ground.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

The bolted outlet clamps a gasket between two flanges instead of trusting one nut behind the wall, which is the fitting to have on a tank that rides a trailer or takes a hose yanked at an angle. The water column above it is under four feet, so a pump sits as low as the outlet and primes by gravity. A black wall shows no level, so fit a sender or a sight tube, and a float switch at low level so the pump never runs dry. Where it freezes, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.

The first fill is the only cheap time to find a problem, so do it in daylight with someone watching the base.
