The Snyder 32511 holds 500 gallons in a black polyethylene tank 48 inches across and 76 inches tall, 80 pounds empty. It is the light, plain 500 gallon vertical: narrow enough for a corner or a pump house, light enough for two people to carry, priced as the entry point of the size. A 20 inch threaded vented manway on top, a 1-1/2 inch polypropylene inlet and a 2 inch polypropylene outlet. Rated for a specific gravity of 1.0, water only.

Light wall, and what that means
Eighty pounds is the lightest 500 gallon vertical Snyder makes. The WB34 on the same 48 inch floor weighs 140 pounds for 550 gallons, and that 60 pound difference is wall thickness. The light tank is the right buy for a shaded site, an indoor reserve, or a tank that gets emptied and moved; the heavy one is for a tank that stands full in the sun for years. Both hold water at the same 1.0 rating.

The base
Full, the tank weighs 4,170 pounds on a 48 inch circle with the mass carried fairly high, so a level base in full contact with the whole floor matters more than it does for a low tank; the concrete pad sizing guide covers when compacted base is enough and when it is not. Service limit is 120 F / 48 C. Indoors on a wood floor, put it over a joist.
Plumbing
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting on top, for a fill line or a float valve.
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base; valve, union, pump.
- Access: 20 inch threaded, vented manway, reachable from a step at 76 inches.
