A 3 inch bulkhead twelve feet below the manway
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base. The liquid named at order sets the fitting, the gasket and the bolting; a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the first valve supported off the pad.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 145 inches up; a platform with a rail for whoever opens it, a dip tube to the floor for the fill, a vent run outdoors on a fuming liquid and sized to the truck's pump.

The 3 inch outlet is what makes a twelve foot column of liquid useful: it drains the tank in a shift, and the head above it keeps a transfer pump flooded to the last few inches.
