750 gallons of water on a 48 inch base, nearly nine feet tall
The Snyder 32441 is a white high density linear polyethylene water tank that holds 750 gallons in a shell 48 inches across and 106 inches tall, weighing 117 pounds. It is the tank for the site that has height and four square feet of floor, with nine feet of head keeping a pump's suction flooded, and a rating of 1.0 specific gravity for water and liquids no heavier. A 2 inch outlet, a 20 inch manway, and it ships as standard LTL freight.

A column of water in a corner
More than twice as tall as it is wide, the 32441 is strapped to a wall or anchored at two heights, because 6,255 pounds of water on a 48 inch circle has a high center of gravity, and it stands on a slab or a paver pad in full contact. The reward is 750 gallons where nothing wider would fit, in a utility room, a well house or a garage corner, with the white wall showing the level in daylight. The tank sizing calculator tells you whether 750 gallons covers the draw, and the tank sizing guide covers days of supply.

| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32441 (this tank, water) | 750 | 48 x 106 in | 117 lb |
| 1800000C126 | 550 | 48 x 75 in | 110 lb |
| 1800200W94303 (1.5 SG) | 550 | 48 x 75 in | 116 lb |

| 8060000W94303 (low profile, 1.5 SG) | 550 | 64 x 46 in | 104 lb |
The 1800000C126 and 1800200W94303 are the 550 gallon tanks on this base, 31 inches shorter, the second with the 1.5 wall. The 1810000N30 stands 850 gallons on this base nearly a foot taller in the sulfuric acid grade. The 8060000W94303 lays 550 gallons down to 46 inches on a 64 inch base for the site with floor and no height.

Ports and manway
- Outlet: 2 inch, at the base; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the floor.
- Access: 20 inch manway, 106 inches up.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 2 inch outlet feeds a pressure pump without starving it, and nine feet of head gives a garden hose a strong flow by gravity. The white wall shows the level in daylight, so no sight tube is needed; a low-level float switch protects a pump. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
Setting it up
A tank this tall and narrow is set up once and not moved: put it on its pad with the outlet facing the pump, strap it at two heights to studs or anchors, and bring the fill in through the manway with a screen on it. A union and a check valve in the suction line make the pump serviceable without draining nine feet of water, and an overflow line near the top, run to a drain, keeps a stuck float valve from putting 750 gallons on the floor. Check the straps once a season; put it on the same calendar as the gutters.
Jobs it is bought for
A well buffer in a utility room, emergency water in a garage, a rain cistern beside a downspout, and one cell of a small fire reserve of the kind the fire-water reservoir design guide describes. Several of them are the storage stage of a small reuse system for roof water and condensate, per the industrial water reuse tank topology article. Water only, or a liquid no heavier.
What the carrier needs from you
The 32441 ships palletized as LTL freight (NMFC 156600-02) at a class rate; the freight cost estimator gives the number for your ZIP; the price shown here is before freight. Two people stand 117 pounds up and walk it into place. Strap it at two heights, fill it to the manway once, and check the outlet fitting before it goes to work. Note the pad height and the outlet height on the site plan while the tape is out; the next pipe run will need both.
