Three moldings share this tank's 96 inch base: this one at 3000 gallons and 109 inches, the 2600 gallon SII-WG62 at 91 inches, and the 3500 gallon SII-32294 at 125 inches and 535 pounds, which means a site that pours one 96 inch pad has three volumes available to it now and later without touching the concrete. Vent, fill, and the head 109 inches gives a pump

• Vent first: the 26 inch threaded vented manway is the only opening in the top, so the vent path is the safety-critical part of this tank, not an accessory. It passes the air a fast fill displaces and the air a pump demands on the way out; keep it clear and screened, inspect it as a maintenance item, and treat a blocked vent with a pump running as an emergency, because that is the one thing that will collapse a wall this shape.
• Fill: the 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead inlet is the fill point that saves lifting a hose nine feet to the lid, and it keeps the manway closed against dust, leaves and birds. Bring a pumped feed down the inside rather than letting it free-fall onto the water.
• Head: 109 inches of shell stands better than nine feet of water over the base fitting, which is the most head in this family. A pump set below the outlet runs flooded for practically the whole draw and holds prime between calls; a gravity hose off the base fitting reaches further from this shell than from any 102 inch molding here. On a taller shell the level falls fast through the last part of the draw, so a low level float, probe or run-dry cut-out that stops the pump with water still over the fitting matters more here than it does on a wide tank; a cleanable strainer at the pump rather than in a buried box, and a check valve where the line feeds uphill. Read the level from the ground rather than from the lid, because nobody should be climbing nine feet to answer a question a gauge answers. The SII-32567 is molded at Albertville, Alabama and ships at class 500 as the sheet lists it, crated at 96 inches by 96 inches by 109 inches, moving as an oversize load. Eight feet across and better than nine feet standing on a deck is a width and a height problem at once, so the overhead lines, the tree line, the gate and the turn get walked before the truck is booked, and somebody with a machine is on site when it arrives.
