A 3000 gallon green Snyder water tank, wide and under eight feet tall
Snyder part number WG71 (our SKU SII-WG71) is a 3000 gallon vertical water storage tank molded in green high density linear polyethylene, 102 inches in diameter and 96 inches tall, shipping at 515 lb. It comes with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, a 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the inlet and a 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet. The wall is rated for liquids of 1 specific gravity, which means water: 3000 gallons of it weighs 25,020 lb (3000 x 8.34). Green keeps daylight off the water and sits quietly in a farmyard or behind a house. It is molded at Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, AR.

Where a wide, low 3000 earns its place
This is the shape for a site where height is the limit and floor is not. At 96 inches the lid stays under the eave of most machine sheds and open-sided barns, and the 102 inch base keeps the whole tank low in the wind. Typical jobs: a house or cabin on a hauled water supply, rainwater off a shop roof, a farm filling a sprayer from one pad, a wash-down supply for a barn, or a reserve for a slow well. Full, the tank puts 25,020 lb of water on a 102 inch circle, so the pad matters more than anything else you buy. It needs a flat, continuous surface wider than the tank, with no rocks or low spots under the floor. Pour or build it to our concrete pad sizing guide, and tie the tank down while it is empty, because a wide, light shell moves in a storm. Openings and what to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, low on the wall. Your valve or pump suction threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries water, not hardware.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line or a downspout run. Tell us if you need a different fill size and we will confirm what can be added.
- Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, for filling by hose, dropping a float switch and getting a light inside to inspect.
- Drawing. Snyder's drawing for WG71 is linked on this page under Technical Drawing. Use it to place the pad edge and plan the pipe runs before the tank arrives.

A tank this wide prices on deck space more than on weight, so the lane to your ZIP is what moves the cost; the freight cost estimator gives it. Plan for a clear path from the road to the pad at least as wide as the tank. At the tailgate, check SII-WG71 on the bill of lading and walk the whole wall for scuffs or dents. Fill it with water, hold it for a day, and check both fittings before you connect the house or the pump.
