3000 Gallon Plastic Vertical Water Storage Tank in Green

A low, wide tank you can get inside

At 97 inches tall on a 102 inch base, this tank keeps its lid at about eight feet, low enough to sit beside a house or under a shed roof line, and wide enough that the full weight is spread over a broad circle. The 26 inch manway is the detail that sets it apart: it makes the inside of the tank reachable for scrubbing from the top, for setting a float or a submersible pump, and for an annual look at the floor. Openings, pad and what to check

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low on the wall, for a valve or a pump suction. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own.
2. Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for a fill line or a downspout run.
3. Manway. A 26 inch threaded vented manway. Keep it closed and secured; an open manway on a water tank lets in dirt, insects and small animals.
4. Pad. 25,020 lb of water on a 102 inch circle needs a flat, continuous base wider than the tank. Our concrete pad sizing guide covers it. At 353 lb empty, tie it down before the first wind.
