Rainwater, stock water and fire reserves

This tank is filed under rainwater collection for a reason: a roof of any size fills 15500 gallons over a wet season, and black polyethylene keeps that water dark and cool. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. A 2 inch ball valve threads straight in. If the tank feeds a fire pump, tell us; the draft connection may need a larger port, and that is a conversation to have before the tank is moulded, not after it is on the pad.
2. Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top. It takes a fill line and a float, and it is big enough to get inside to clean. The vent must stay open so the tank breathes as the level moves.
3. Heavier liquids. If the liquid is heavier than 1.5 times water, this is not the tank; the heavy duty 1.9 version is linked below.
4. Clearance. The tank is 244 inches tall. Allow for the manway lid and for the crane or telehandler that sets it.
