Where it goes

This is the tank for hauling water to livestock, a garden or a job site, for a spray rig on a small trailer, and for a water supply on a truck that still has to carry tools. At 36 inches tall it stands above the bed rail of a pickup, so it rides with the bed open; if height is the constraint, the 150 gallon version below is lower on the same footprint. Full of water the load is about 1700 lb with the tank, which is close to the payload limit of many half ton trucks once a driver and tools are aboard, so read the payload plate on the door jamb before you commit to the size. Strap it down through the moulded recesses, never over the lid, and retighten after the first few miles. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads; check anything unusual against our chemical compatibility guide before it goes in. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water, which is 12.52 lb per gallon, need a heavy duty tank, not this one, and the contents stay under 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 1 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. A 1 inch outlet suits a garden hose, a small transfer pump or a spray rig; it is slow for gravity draining 200 gallons, so plan on a pump if you empty it often.
2. Fill lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hydrant hose or a pump and to get a hand inside to clean. The vent lets air in as liquid goes out; keep the lid on while you drive.
