Where it goes

A 300 gallon tank is a full day of termite pre-treats or a week of general pest stops mixed once. At 69 inches long and 36 inches wide it fits down one side of a standard pickup bed or a flatbed with the reel and the pump alongside, and at 37 inches tall the manway is reachable from the ground on most trucks. Full of water the contents weigh 2502 lb, which is most of a half-ton pickup's payload before the pump, the reel, the hose and the driver, so check the vehicle's rating against the full tank, not the empty one. The tank needs a flat, continuous surface under the whole base and straps through the moulded recesses, never over the manway. What goes in it

Water and the diluted pest control products that polyethylene handles. Concentrates and label rates are the applicator's business; the tank's job is to hold the mix without reacting with it. Polyethylene handles water and most diluted spray mixes; check anything unusual in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water and anything hotter than 120 F are outside the rating. Rinse the tank at the end of the day and before switching products; a 16 inch manway takes a hose and a brush easily. Openings and fittings

1. Manway. A 16 inch manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to add product and agitate, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed for this tank, so the suction connection is fitted to suit your pump. Tell us the pump's inlet size and we will put the bulkhead fitting on the same order. A bulkhead fitting needs a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange; dry-fit it, point the thread where the hose will run, then tighten by hand plus a quarter turn. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware bouncing down the road.
