What 3000 gallons does for you

Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. Thread a 2 inch valve in, then a union, so the tank can be isolated and disconnected without being drained. Support the valve and pipe independently.
2. Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line from the well pump or the rainwater first flush.
3. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. It vents the tank as the level moves and takes a float switch or a level sensor.
4. Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water. Liquid fertilizers run heavier than that and belong in a tank rated 1.5 or higher; if you want this shape for fertilizer, ask us for the heavier version. Contents stay under 120 F.
