In a pickup, on a trailer or on the ground
At 71 by 48 inches the tank fits lengthwise in a full size pickup bed, and at 33 inches tall it stays under most tonneau rails and below the cab window, which a round leg tank of the same volume does not. Full of water it weighs close to 2800 lb before you add the tank, so the truck's payload rating, not the tank, is usually the limit; check the door sticker before you fill it. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the tank. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean. The vent lets air in as you draw down, so do not seal it.
