The Norwesco 6025 gallon white horizontal leg tank, part number 44314, is a polyethylene transport and storage tank 193 inches long, 99 inches in diameter and 103 inches tall on its moulded legs, weighing 2135 lb empty. On a nurse trailer or a pad
This is the tank behind most large nurse trailers: it hauls liquid fertilizer from the dealer to the field and refills the applicator without a trip back. On a pad it is bulk storage where a vertical tank would be too tall for the building. The legs sit flat on a deck or a skid without a cradle, and every leg must bear on a flat, continuous surface; a leg over a gap or past the edge is the one that fails. Full of water the load is about 50250 lb plus the tank, and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axles, not the tank, set the limit. Strap through the moulded leg recesses, never over the manway, and fit the five N-64085 bands Norwesco specifies; the add-ons box on this page lists them. What goes in it
Water and liquid fertilizer are the loads this tank is built for. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need the heavy duty version of this tank, not this one. Check anything else in our chemical compatibility guide first; nurse tank buyers most often look up urea solution, calcium chloride, DEF, potassium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a 2 inch reducer in the box. Keep it at 3 inch for a fast transfer pump; reduce to 2 inch where the hose and valve already are. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for filling, venting and inspection. Keep it threaded down so the tank breathes through the vent.
- Bands. Five N-64085 bands, required on a vehicle. Put them on the same order.
