Who buys the heavy duty 5025

Buy this tank when the liquid is heavier than water and you want it in one body rather than two. A 1.9 rating covers liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which is where most dense liquid fertilizers and many treatment chemicals sit. If your liquid is water or close to it, the standard rated 5025 gallon white leg tank is the same body for less; the heavy duty rating and the 3 year warranty are what you are paying for here. Sixteen feet of round body on moulded legs needs a flat, continuous surface under every leg along the whole length, not just the ends; check the pad with a straightedge or a string line. What goes in it

Dense liquid fertilizer is the usual load, then water and the treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall, with a 2 inch reducer so you can run a 3 inch or a 2 inch valve from day one. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in, and get a brush inside. At 96 inches up, plan a platform or a ladder spot.
3. Bands. 5 bands, Norwesco part 63284, when the tank is strapped to a deck or a skid. Order them with the tank.
