The Norwesco 65 gallon black horizontal leg tank, part number 41805, is a polyethylene tank 43 inches long, 23 inches wide and 26 inches tall, weighing 27 lb empty. The moulded legs let it sit flat in a UTV bed, on a small trailer, on a cart or on a bench without a cradle. It comes with a 3/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet and a 5 inch threaded vented lid on top. The small end of the leg tank line
Sixty-five gallons is the step up from the tanks you can lift full. At 43 inches long and 23 wide it lies along one side of a UTV bed with room for the pump, or across a small trailer, and at 542 lb full it stays inside the payload of most side-by-sides where a 125 would not. It is the usual tank for spot spraying, watering a planting, carrying rinse water on a landscape trailer, or feeding a pressure washer away from a tap. The low profile also matters: a 26 inch tank sits below the bed rails, so the load stays low and the straps have something to pull against. Strap through the leg recesses, never over the lid. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer, herbicide mixes and the farm and shop chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and 120 F. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, installed low in the end wall. A 3/4 inch valve, hose barb or pump inlet threads straight in. A 3/4 inch port drains slowly compared with a 2 inch one; it suits a pump, not a gravity dump.
- Lid. A 5 inch threaded vented lid on top: enough to fill from a hose and to drop a strainer in, vented so the tank breathes as the pump draws.
