The jobs a 125 gallon leg tank gets
This is the size that fits where the next size up will not: a compact or mid-size pickup bed, the back of a UTV trailer, or a skid sprayer that has to go through a gate. At 41 by 32 inches it leaves room for a pump and a reel beside it, and at about 1040 lb full it stays inside the payload of a mid-size truck. It is the usual tank for spot spraying pasture and fence lines, watering new trees, running a pressure washer away from a tap, or carrying water to stock on a short loop. Water, liquid fertilizer, herbicide mixes and the farm and shop chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and 120 F. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall. A 2 inch valve, camlock or reducer to your pump threads straight in; support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting is not carrying hardware over rough ground.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top: enough to fill from a hose and to drop a strainer in, vented so the tank breathes as the pump draws.
