The Norwesco 65 gallon horizontal leg tank, part number 45191, is a white polyethylene tank 43 inches long, 23 inches wide and 26 inches tall, weighing 27 lb empty. Where it goes
This is the size for a sprayer in a UTV bed, a water supply on a landscaping trailer, or a nurse tank for a small applicator. At 43 by 23 inches it fits across most UTV beds and along one side of a pickup bed; at 26 inches tall it clears a tonneau on many trucks, so measure before you order. Full of water the contents alone weigh close to 540 lb, so check the bed rating and keep the tank as far forward as the bed allows. Strap it through the leg recesses with the optional bands, never over the lid. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer, herbicide mixes and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything new goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and propylene glycol are the ones small leg tank buyers ask about most. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. A garden hose adapter, a small ball valve or a battery pump suction threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the lid.
- Lid. A 5 inch threaded vented lid on top: big enough to fill from a hose and to pour from a jug, and the vent lets the tank breathe as it empties so the pump does not pull the wall in.
