At the tank's 1.5 SG rating it is charted for acetic acid (60%), aluminum sulfate (50%), calcium chloride (40%), DEF (32.5%), ferrous sulfate (20%), magnesium chloride (30%), sodium carbonate (30%), urea solution (50%), and ozonated water up to 10 PPM — most with PVC or PP fittings and EPDM gaskets. DEF and urea are charted at 1.35 SG, comfortably inside this tank's 1.5 rating, though DEF calls for 316SS fittings. Critically, the stock 2-inch outlet elastomer may not be the charted gasket for your fluid, so match the pre-installed fitting and gasket (PVC/PP/316SS with EPDM) to the chart before service. Chemicals that need a higher-SG tank
Do not put these in this tank — they are only charted at a 1.9 specific gravity, so step up to a 1.9-SG-rated vessel: ethylene glycol, ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrofluosilicic acid, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid, phosphoric acid, polyaluminum chloride, potassium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, sodium bisulfate, sodium bisulfite, sodium hypochlorite, sodium thiosulfate, sulfuric acid, and zinc orthophosphate. Several of these also jump the gasket spec: hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric, sulfuric, and sodium hypochlorite require Viton, and peracetic acid requires Aflas rather than EPDM. That elastomer escalation is a real cost and spec signal. The single most expensive mistake with a cradle tank is filling to the SG rating with the wrong fluid or gasket — verify the resin and the elastomer first.
