Why the low shape earns its floor space
Full, the WB44 puts 9,174 pounds on an 86 inch circle, and because a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, the pad is what carries it: a compacted, screeded gravel base or a slab in full contact, sized per the concrete pad sizing guide. A tank this wide and this short has the lowest center of gravity in its class, so it wants the least strapping against wind of any 1,100 gallon shape, and the water in it sits where the pump wants it, low and close to the outlet. Black polyethylene absorbs the ultraviolet that ages a white wall and passes no light to the liquid, so outdoors in full sun the water holds clear for years; it also runs warmer in the sun than a white tank, which matters for stored water in a hot climate and argues for the shade side of a building. The WB42 and WB43 are the same black 1,100 on this base with different fittings, the WB43 two inches taller at the manway; the sheet lists them at 210 pounds against this tank's 185, and the sheet is what we print. Ports and manway
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, high on the wall.
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene bolted fitting with stainless steel hardware, at the base; a flexible connector between the fitting and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad, never hung on the tank.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 53 inches up, opened from the ground without a step.

The bolted outlet is the one to want on a tank this low: it clamps a gasket between two flanges instead of relying on a single nut behind the wall, so it takes the side load of a pipe run better than a plain bulkhead. Nearly four and a half feet of water above it keeps a pump's suction flooded to the last few inches. A black wall shows no level, so fit a sender read at ground level or a sight tube off the outlet, and a float switch at low level shuts the pump off before it runs dry. Where it freezes, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
Where this shape ends up
