The lighter 15000 for water and light process duty

This is the version of the tall 15000 gallon body to buy when the liquid is at or near the weight of water: process and rinse water, effluent and washdown holding, a fertilizer solution, a treatment chemical near water density, or seasonal storage sized to the delivery interval rather than the chemistry. Anything beyond water goes through our chemical compatibility guide; anything heavier than 1.5 times water belongs in the heavy duty version.

The pad is where the money and the risk sit. A rotationally moulded floor bears on its own floor and nothing else, so 125,100 lb of water presses down through a 142 inch circle. Engineer the slab level, cured and in full contact under the whole floor to our concrete pad sizing guide, and berm it where the liquid is regulated. Overhead, 234 inches of shell wants clear height and room above the manway; measure before the order is cut and design the anchorage into the slab. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway, 234 inches up. Permanent access only: a caged fixed ladder or a platform off adjacent structure, a rail and gate, and a hard-piped fill landed at the manway. Fill through a dip tube to the floor and size the vent to the delivery pump.
2. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships; the drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.
3. Base plumbing. The column gives a pump excellent suction head and puts real pressure on the first joint. Pump below the outlet with a low-level float; first valve on its own support off the pad; flexible connector to hard pipe.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Lincoln, NE, at its own 142 by 142 by 234 inch dimensions, an oversize load; the estimator will tell you whether your lane needs a phone call. The unload is a single crane pick standing 4,400 lb upright on a finished pad, straps around the body and never through the manway, with the anchorage already cast in. Check the part number 5370000N40 against the bill of lading before you sign. Fill with water to the manway, hold it, walk the pad edge and the base for movement or a weep, then drain before the service liquid arrives.
