Where a tall, slim tank works
The point of this tank is the 64 inch footprint. It stands where a wide tank of the same volume will not: in a corner of a pump house, along the side of a barn, in a gap between buildings, or inside a plant room where floor is already spoken for. The cost is height. At 147 inches it needs a tall room or an outdoor spot, so measure the ceiling, beams and door tracks, and leave room above the manway to work.
The 1.5 rating suits water and liquids up to one and a half times as heavy as water: well and rainwater, livestock water, many liquid fertilizers and dilute solutions, where polyethylene suits them. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. It is the fill point and the vent; never seal it, or a drawdown can pull a vacuum.
- Getting to the top. The manway sits 147 inches up. A fill line piped down to working height, and a level gauge, mean nobody climbs the tank on a routine day.
- Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed with this part number. Tell us the line size and how the liquid leaves, and we will confirm with Snyder what is fitted and what to add.
