A narrow alley and a tall strap line

Buy this tank when the floor plan, not the roof, is what you are fighting, and when the liquid is dense enough to need the 1.9 rating on this sheet; the same slim shell is also molded in a lighter grade, rated lower on its own sheet and lighter empty, which is the better buy for a liquid near water weight.

Whatever the draw-off turns out to be, 147 inches of liquid standing above it is the strongest suction head of any tank in this group, and that cuts both ways. In your favor, a transfer pump mounted below the fitting runs flooded deep into the tank and the last inches move quickly. Against you, the fitting and the first valve see more static pressure here than on a short tank, so the valve goes on its own support off the pad and the connection between fitting and hard pipe is flexible, never a rigid nipple carrying the weight of a pipe run. Fill down a dip tube to the floor rather than dropping the liquid the full height of the shell, keep the lid latched between deliveries, and give the wall above the working level a light at every opening. Where it freezes, protect the valve and the first pipe run; the shell itself takes ice from the top down.

Tight plant rooms that still need 1,900 gallons

The buyers are the ones out of floor space: a plating or finishing shop adding a dense acid or caustic tank between two that are already installed, a water plant squeezing a coagulant tank into a pump house corner, a chemical distributor putting bulk down the side of a warehouse, and a manufacturer whose only free footprint is an alley. This tank is molded at Philippi, West Virginia and moves as freight at class 300 as the sheet lists it; 510 pounds in a 64 by 147 inch cube is a tall, narrow piece that loads lying down and has to be stood up at the site. Price the lane to your ZIP in the freight cost estimator, and the listed price is before freight. Stand it with straps under the body and a tag line, never a hook through the manway, and get the strapping to structure on before the lifting gear leaves the yard, because this is not a tank that should spend a week unrestrained. Fill with water to the manway, hold it a shift, walk the base and read the pad edge and the fitting, then drain and dry before the product comes.
