The Snyder Industries 2000 Gallon ASTM XLPE Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank is a crosslinked-polyethylene vertical storage tank built for demanding bulk water and heavy-liquid duty. Molded in natural white so you can read the level at a glance, it stands 88 inches tall on a roughly 90-inch base and carries a 1.9 specific-gravity rating - meaning the wall is engineered for liquids far heavier than water. If you have been searching for a 2000 gallon vertical XLPE storage tank from Snyder, this is the heavy-duty version of that spec.

Will it work for your site?

Crosslinked linear polyethylene (XLPE) is the tougher, more impact- and stress-crack-resistant cousin of standard HDPE, which is why Snyder rates this shell to a 1.9 specific gravity, well above what general-purpose water tanks carry. For plain water at 8.34 lb/gallon, a full 2000 gallons weighs about 16,680 pounds. At the tank's maximum rated contents the shell is designed to hold roughly 31,692 pounds of liquid at the 1.9 SG rating - so plan your ring foundation and any forklift or crane offload for both bookends: a level, continuously supported ~90-inch base under 16,680 lb of water, with headroom up to about 31,692 lb for denser fluids. Confirm the base diameter and height on the technical drawing on this page before you pour a slab. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide to check drawdown and footprint, and if you intend to actually use the 1.9 SG headroom, our freeboard and usable-volume guide explains how density and thermal expansion affect the real volume you can fill.

Fittings and access

Per the technical drawing on this page, this tank is configured with a flange fitting, an 18-inch polyethylene threaded top opening that is vented, and a manway with 15-inch access for interior inspection and cleanout. The vented top opening lets the tank breathe on fill and drawdown so you never pull a vacuum on the shell. Confirm the fitting locations and elevations on the drawing against your plumbing plan before setting the tank, and note that flange and manway sealing hardware and torque follow the Snyder drawing and OEM kit - reference the drawing generically rather than assuming a layout.

Freight and how to order

This is a large-diameter vertical tank that ships LTL by flatbed or freight carrier - it does not go UPS or ground. It ships from Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, Arkansas, and freight is quoted live to your ZIP based on distance and delivery access. Get an exact number with our Freight Cost Estimator, or call 866-418-1777 and we will quote it and walk you through offload requirements. If you are weighing crosslinked versus standard polyethylene for your duty, our guide on Snyder XLPE vs HDPE explains when the 1.9 SG rating earns its keep, and our 2000 gallon vertical tank comparison lines this Snyder up against the alternatives.
