The Snyder 5050000C34 is a black polyethylene vertical storage tank, 90 inches across and 88 inches tall, holding 2,000 gallons at 340 pounds. It is the standard black 2,000, molded in Lincoln, Nebraska and Philippi, West Virginia for the Plains and the East, and the lightest tank at this volume on the sheet: a small plant's whole delivery on a seven and a half foot circle, the 18 inch threaded, vented manway at seven feet four reached from a short step, in a wall that keeps light off the load. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.9, or 31,692 pounds of contents against 16,680 for water, for concentrated acid, ferric and the heavy brines at strength. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead outlet, a 3 year warranty, and freight at class 400.

A small plant's delivery, dark
Two thousand gallons is the load a small water plant or a shop takes when a tanker would sit too long, and this is that tank in black, for a pad without a roof. Full at the rating it puts 31,692 pounds on a 90 inch circle: an engineered slab under the whole floor, per the concrete pad sizing guide, with a berm sized to the tank, with the empty tank strapped against wind before the first fill. The C37-BLACK is the other black tank in this shell and the C26 the white one, each rated as its own sheet says; the N33 is the lighter wall for water and liquids that do not need this one. Bulkheads and lid
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 88 inches up, reached from a short step; fill by tote pump or truck through a dip tube, vent outside on acid and caustic service, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Seven feet of liquid above the outlet is a flooded suction to the last few inches; a pump mounted below the outlet primes by gravity, and a float at low level protects it from running dry. Keep the manway closed against vapor loss, label the tank so the fire inspector and the workplace inspector read the same thing, and inspect the headspace wall from the manway with a light. The body takes a freeze from the top down without damage; the outlet valve and the first pipe run do not, so they get trace heat or insulation where it freezes.
Who buys the standard black 2,000
Coagulant or caustic at a small water plant, acid at an industrial plant on an open pad, brine at a food plant, and a fertilizer solution tank at a co-op where the liquid stands in the sun.
