Rated for a specific gravity of 1.0, with a 1-1/2 inch polypropylene inlet and a 2 inch polypropylene outlet.

Green, and when to take the black
Both colors block the light that grows algae. Green reads as potable water beside a house and blends into a yard; black is the plain choice for stock, irrigation or fire water on a working site. The 2,500 gallon straight-wall tank adds 500 gallons on the same 96 inch floor for 17 inches of height and 37 pounds of resin. The 1,600 gallon 32547 saves 10 inches of floor and 2 inches of height. If the tank ever has to be moved empty across a yard, the low shape here is the one two people can handle. The base under 16,680 pounds
Full, the tank holds 16,680 pounds of water on a 96 inch circle. A level pad in full contact with the whole floor is the rule; the concrete pad sizing guide works the ACI 360R-10 method and says when compacted base is enough. Service limit is 120 F / 48 C.
Ports
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting on top.
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base; valve, union, pump.
- Access: 20 inch threaded, vented manway. Do not seal the vent; a fast pump-out on 2,000 gallons pulls a lot of air.
Plumb the outlet with a full-port valve first and a union between valve and pump, and use the top inlet for the fill line or a float valve so the manway stays closed.
