2,000 gallons on a 96 inch base, sold without a fitting
The Snyder 5050300C137 is a white high density linear polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 96 inches across and 84 inches tall, holding 2,000 gallons at 300 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 25,020 pounds of contents against 16,680 for water, and it ships with no outlet fitting installed: the buyer drills the bulkhead where the pipe run wants it, in the size and material the liquid wants, which is how a plumber or an installer who fits dozens of tanks prefers to buy. An 18 inch manway on top, and it ships as oversize freight.

A blank tank, on purpose
A factory outlet is at the factory's height, on the factory's side, in polypropylene; a blank tank lets the installer put a 2 or 3 inch bulkhead exactly where the pump sits, add a second outlet for a fire connection, or drill a high overflow, all with a hole saw and a bulkhead kit in the material the liquid calls for. At 300 pounds it is also the lightest 2,000 on this base, and the 1.5 wall covers brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered as well as water. Full, it puts 25,020 pounds on a 96 inch circle at the rating, which a compacted gravel pad or a slab in full contact carries. The 2,000 gallon vertical tank buyers guide compares the shapes at this volume across makers; the tank sizing calculator tells you whether 2,000 gallons covers the draw, and the tank sizing guide covers days of supply.
Snyder's 1,600 to 2,500 gallon verticals
| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5050300C137 (this tank, no fitting) | 2,000 | 96 x 84 in | 300 lb |
| 32170 (1.5 SG, siphon outlet) | 2,000 | 96 x 73 in | 426 lb |
| 5050000C126 | 2,000 | 90 x 88 in | 400 lb |
| WV50 (water) | 2,000 | 90 x 88 in | 357 lb |
| 32549 (water) | 1,600 | 86 x 71 in | 262 lb |
| 5090000N30 (sulfuric grade) | 2,500 | 90 x 107 in | 560 lb |
The 32170 is the fitted tank on this same base, 11 inches shorter and heavier in the wall, with a siphon outlet already in it. The 5050000C126 and WV50 stand 2,000 gallons on a 90 inch base at 88 inches with a factory outlet. The 32549 is the 1,600 gallon water tank on an 86 inch base, and the 5090000N30 is the 2,500 gallon sulfuric-grade chemical tank on a 90 inch base.

Openings, and the one you add
- Outlet: none installed. Drill the bulkhead on a flat of the wall, low enough to drain and high enough to clear sediment, with a hole saw sized to the bulkhead kit; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad.
- Access: 18 inch manway.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Drill with the tank empty and dry, deburr the hole, and set the bulkhead gasket on the inside of the wall, hand-tight plus a quarter turn; overtightening a bulkhead in polyethylene is the usual first leak. A 2,000 gallon tank moves a lot of air as it fills and empties, so the vent is sized for the pump-out and fill rates, not left at the manway default; the atmospheric vent capacity guide works the API 2000 arithmetic for tanks from 1,500 to 10,000 gallons. In a freezing climate insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe.
Applications
Well storage where the installer wants the outlet on their side, a rain cistern with a high overflow, irrigation and stock water, brine and fertilizer solution at the 1.5 rating, and a fire reserve of the kind the fire-water reservoir design guide describes, where a large drilled outlet is the whole point. One liquid per tank, labeled.
On the truck
At 96 inches across the 5050300C137 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600) on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator quotes the haul to your ZIP; what is listed is the price before freight. Four people roll 300 pounds onto the pad. Drill and fit the outlet, then fill it to the manway once, hold it, and check the bulkhead before it goes to work. Mark the vent and the outlet on the outside of the shell so nobody caps the wrong one in the dark.
