The Snyder Industries 2500 Gallon ASTM XLPE Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank, part number 5090300N42, is a flat bottom tank moulded in crosslinked linear polyethylene, 96 inches in diameter and 98 inches tall, weighing 620 lb empty. It comes in natural white with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. An eight foot circle, a dense liquid
This is the heavy duty wall on Snyder's 96 inch, 2,500 gallon shell, moulded at Chowchilla, California. It stands 98 inches tall, so it goes under a little over eight feet of clear height with room above the manway for a fill line and a vent. The 1.9 rating is for the liquids that make a standard tank the wrong buy: brines, concentrated acids and bases, dense fertilizer solutions and anything else well above the weight of water. A rotationally moulded tank carries its load on the whole floor, so up to 39,615 lb bears on the full 96 inch circle. What to check before you buy
- The liquid. The 1.9 rating covers liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water. Check the liquid against polyethylene before you order, and if it is heavier than 1.9 or runs warmer than 140 F in service, tell us; that is a different tank.
- The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm what this tank takes, in what size and material, before anything is drilled.
- The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 98 inches off the pad. Plan a platform or a tied-off platform ladder with the tank, and bring the fill line to the manway. On a liquid that fumes, run the vent to where the fumes should go.
