Pipe the outlet through a flanged transition and an expansion joint with the valve supported off the tank. Service, including DEF and urea
Liquid fertilizer at a co-op, brine at a water softener plant, dilute acids and caustics at a treatment plant, and bulk water where a thicker wall is wanted for a long outdoor life. Fill from a tanker through the manway with a dip tube so dense liquid does not splash the lid. Two liquids deserve their own note because they are the ones most often put in a 1.35 rated tank: diesel exhaust fluid and urea solution. Both are denser than water and both are ruined by contamination, so a DEF tank is a dedicated tank: never one that has held fertilizer, never one with a brass or copper fitting in the wetted path, and never one that sits in the sun, because urea solutions degrade with heat and light. Polyethylene is the standard material for DEF storage for exactly that reason, and a white tank in a shaded bay with a stainless or plastic dispensing kit is the arrangement fleets settle on. Keep the manway closed against dust; a filter on the fill line is cheap insurance.
