The Snyder WG46 is a green low profile water tank: 1,500 gallons in high density linear polyethylene, 86 inches across and 70 inches tall, 210 pounds empty, with a 2 inch stainless steel bolted outlet. It is the biggest tank in Snyder's line that still goes under a standard six foot header, and the bolted outlet makes it the one to plumb a booster pump into. Rated for a specific gravity of 1.0, water and liquids no heavier than water, with a 3 year warranty.

The pad for a wide tank
Full, the WG46 puts 12,510 pounds on an 86 inch circle, and a low tank spreads that load evenly only if the base is flat and in full contact; the concrete pad sizing guide covers the slab or compacted base. Green blocks light the way black does, so the water stays clear, and it sits quietly against planting. Confirm the volume with the tank sizing calculator before the base is built; 1,500 gallons is a serious cistern. Leave a clear side for the outlet, the valve and the pump, and enough height over the manway for the lid to open and a hose to go in; on a 70 inch tank that is the difference between a tank you can service and one you have to crawl over.

The WB46 is this tank in black. The 32547 is a near twin on the same base, 1 inch taller for 100 more gallons and 7 more pounds, with threaded fittings. The tall tanks are the same water stood up: the 32541 is 44 inches taller on a base 21 inches narrower, and the 32535 gives up 200 gallons on a 60 inch base. Bolted outlet, bulkhead inlet
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting.
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene fitting with a stainless steel bolted flange; re-torque after the first full fill.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, reachable from the floor.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
The bolted flange carries a rigid suction line and a heavy valve without working the tank wall, which is why the WG46 is the low tank that feeds a pressure pump for a house or a barn.
