The Snyder 32753 is a mocha polyethylene straight-wall vertical water tank, 96 inches across and 90 inches tall, holding 2,500 gallons at 300 pounds. Mocha is the brown that disappears against a barn, a fence or bare ground where black reads as a shape and white as a billboard, and like black it is an opaque wall that keeps light out so the water stays clear of algae. The straight wall stands flush to a building or beside a second tank with no wasted wedge of air, and the 26 inch threaded, vented manway is the wide one, big enough to reach a float or a sender without a contortion. The tank that is meant not to be seen
Full, the 32753 puts 20,850 pounds on a 96 inch circle, and because a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, the pad is the whole job: a slab in full contact per the concrete pad sizing guide, or a compacted, screeded gravel base built level, with the empty tank strapped against wind; a straight wall gives a strap nothing to slide down. An opaque wall absorbs the ultraviolet that ages a white tank and passes no light to the water, so it holds clear for years outdoors; a dark wall also runs warmer in the sun than a white one, which for stored water in a hot climate argues for the shade side of the barn. Inlet, outlet, and the wide manway
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, high on the wall; a truck fill can go through the manway with a screen in place.
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; a flexible connector between the fitting and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad. For a fire reserve a larger outlet is specified at order.
- Access: 26 inch threaded, vented manway, 90 inches up, reached from a step.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Seven and a half feet of water above the outlet is a flooded suction for a pressure pump or a fire pump to the last few inches, and a 2 inch outlet does not starve either one. The 26 inch opening is why this tank gets picked over an 18 inch sibling when anything will be serviced inside it: a sender, a float, a fill pipe to the floor all go in and come out through it with room for a hand and a light. An opaque wall shows no level, so a sender read at ground level or a sight tube off the outlet is not optional, and a float switch at low level shuts the pump off before it runs dry. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
