A wide, low shell for a dense liquid

This is the lowest way Snyder holds this much liquid on a vertical footprint: 97 inches tall on a 102 inch circle, so it fits under a ceiling or a canopy that a taller tank would not, at the cost of floor space. The heavy duty wall is for the liquids that make a standard tank the wrong buy: brines, concentrated acids and bases, dense fertilizer solutions and other liquids well above the weight of water. Crosslinking ties the polymer chains together, which gives the wall more resistance to stress cracking and to many chemicals than a standard linear polyethylene wall; our note on when crosslinking matters for chemistry duty covers how to decide. A rotationally moulded tank carries its load on the whole floor, so up to 41,992 lb bears on the full 102 inch circle. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. The 1.9 rating covers liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water. Check the liquid against polyethylene before you order, and if it is heavier than 1.9 or runs warmer than 140 F in service, tell us; that is a different tank.
2. The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm what this tank takes, in what size and material, before anything is drilled.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 97 inches off the pad. Plan a platform or a tied-off platform ladder with the tank, and bring the fill line to the manway. On a liquid that fumes, run the vent to where the fumes should go.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300, 102 by 102 by 97 inches on a skid, 800 lb, from Snyder's plant at Marked Tree, Arkansas. At 102 inches across it fills the full width of the trailer, so the lane is priced by the route as much as the miles. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. Unload with a forklift and straps under the body, never a sling through the manway. At the tailgate, check the part number against 8390000N42 on the bill of lading and walk round the base for transit damage. Fill it with water the first time, let it stand, and look at the pad edge and the base fitting before the working liquid goes in.
