The 1013000C26 is the tank for a room that is tight in both directions, and the 1008200C26 is the one to price if 330 gallons stretches the interval between deliveries far enough to matter.

The lid is the vent, and the wall is the gauge

• Vent and fill: the sheet lists the outlet as 1 Manway / Lid and leaves the inlet blank, so one opening does the filling and the breathing. Match the delivery rate to what the lid can pass, or run a vent line genuinely sized to the pump, and never seal the lid while liquid is moving in or out.
• Level: the translucent wall is the primary gauge on this tank. Mark the wall in gallons once, during the water fill, and you have a reading that cannot drift, fail or lose power.
• Headspace: hold freeboard above 300 gallons. A liquid delivered cool and warming toward 140 F / 60 C takes up more room than it did on the truck, and sunlight on a white wall warms the top of the load first.
• Service limit: 140 F / 60 C.

A short wide tank breathes hard on a fast fill, because the air in the headspace has to leave through the lid at the same rate the liquid arrives. That is the number to think about here rather than suction head. Check the lid screen and the gasket every time the lid is off, keep the lid closed the rest of the time, and put a dip tube to the floor on the fill so the stream does not splash the upper wall or build static in the headspace. Below, give the base fitting a flexible connector to hard pipe and carry the first valve on its own support off the pad. Set the transfer pump low and close, fit a low level float so it never draws air, and keep the tank out of direct sun where you can, because light and warmth together grow algae in water service. Where the site freezes, trace or wrap the base valve and the first pipe run and leave the body to ice from the top down.

Operators who want to see the level

Make-down tanks, rinse water, process water, food plant duty, and any low room where the tank has to fit under something and still be read at a glance.
